about this project

The scope included the design and preparation of street reconstruction, culvert crossing plan sheets, storm water pollution plans, tree preservation plans, and joint bid utility plans. The project upgraded two (2) low water crossings to convey the 100-yr ultimate design storm. Mr. Hinojosa also designed the realignment of approximately 500 L.F. of 36” CSC water main along Classen Rd. and the relocation of approximately 600 L.F. of 15” sanitary sewer main along Jung Rd. This project included property buyouts to provide an interceptor channel to convey the excess runoff from the nearby subdivision. A SAWS General Construction Permit (GCP) was required to abandon the existing services (water and sanitary sewer laterals) to the homes after they were demolished. Mr. Hinojosa coordinated the improvements with Union Pacific Rail Road due to the proximity of an existing freight rail line near the intersection of Classen and Stahl Rd.
